Exactly. Some saddles work great as a harness for the stand but I prefer rock climbing harness for weight and bulk. Still allows to lean back and shoot behind tree if necessary, but I prefer to setup with good back cover so I rarely need to worry about it.
 
I thought this may help someone with a stand or large platform.
When I am ready to hang my stand, I install my gear strap. The strap has 3 hooks, one for my pack, coat and HC mini.
I use the mini hook to assist with hanging my stand.
Pic 1, hang stand, remove pack, remove coat and hang.
Pic 2, then rotate stand and hang. This allows me to be hands free to install strap. I do remove stand from hook before final install.
