Just was thinking on the seat would be like carrying the beast sticks on the beast stand? Do they get caught up on brush that way?Horizontally across the seat and use the cam strap from the stand to secure them.

What mods would you make to the Shikars?
Thanks, I saw that. I have 2 of the 14" sticks and I have not used them enough to see if this is going to be an issue.Something like this:
My Modified Shikars
I commented this elsewhere also, but I'm gonna start its own thread, and get feedback from others. I really have grown to love my modified shikars. I've got essentially the shikar FXD that allows me to rotate them for travel still. They originally came to me as rotating ones, and the bolts were...saddlehunter.com

Wow, that's alot of sticks.
lol.....yeah, one set belongs to my sonWow, that's alot of sticks.
Do you have any pictures of how your strap the sticks down? Thanks
Thanks that's what I needed to know! It's probably a little better with the .75 with the bigger seat. I think it would work with the .5 I'm gonna use 5 sticks maybe 6 in hill country. Can't beat one sticks 6 lbs for 6 sticks really like them!!This is how I do it. More than 3 sticks I go to the button like this but probably can just go around the seat instead. This seems the most secure but a little more work to get all the slack out. Also, with a pouch under the seat this works better.

The regular strap doesn't work as well on the .5 probably because of the size of the seat and dosen't have the hook on the back of the post. This is how I do it. Ok I didn't notice that at first! I thought the .75 had some thing different. I really like the sticks just wish they packed better. I really liked my older .5 I had with the 17in dubblestep if they were 1lb and didn't kick out they would be the perfect setup for me.That’s not a hook. That’s the versa button
