LWCG stand setups

Agreed. But the question posed was how to mate a Kifaru ARK frame with a .5 stand. Those were the frame and stand presented in the post above.

Good luck with selling your Nested stand.

Understood. You offered several solutions, and this is just feedback on the one suggestion you made (.5 and Stryker XL) based on my own experience of that option.

Wasn’t sure where to post this but if you’re looking into LWCG stuff and have onx elite. This might help you. Idk what his all works on but here ya go.

Anyone order the Moultrie cam package?

So I’ll admit I still have gear urges outside of my .5. Which is currently the only platform I own. I’d really like to have a platform of somekind

So in my head I started building this Ground hunting, scouting, platform setup. Using a pack or Fanny. Having a 2lb ultralight chair with me, sticks, and a platform. So for not much weight I can literally do it all if needed.

Then I started really thinking about it and just adding the chair to my current setup covers it all. Saves me a ton of money. I might still do a setup like that for the fun side of it but a .5 really covers so much it’s hard not just to use it.

Are you using the .5 as a chair when you take it? I think someone showed it being used in that way. Probably not as comfortable as the folding seat though.

I've used the .5 ground chair feature as intended and it works in a pinch. It's especially nice if you have some back cover to lean against. It's nicer than a bucket or one of those old folding stools I've used in the past. It's definitely not a Waldrop pack seat or ultralight backpacking chair though in terms of comfort.

No @gcr0003 and @Jtaylor not planning to use the .5 as my chair even though that’s not a bad idea. I have a 2lb chair from Naturehike I think. It’s a knock off of the Heliox and it was only 40$. Just strap it to my .5. It’s just crazy how light stuff has gotten

@Bowtie747 I’ve been trying to decide between .5 and ranger. I’m alternating them on hunts…but I’d really Love to just have 1.

LWCG really did a good job of address the pin system in the hybrid (but I don’t think it was a big deal to begin with). No cables is great, and I love only using 1 strap and it’s rock solid.

But my ambush isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

What were you thinking gear wise to include in the other setup?

That’s a good question! I’m honestly not sure. I’d really like to haul a ranger around or sit in one. But I was mainly leaning towards a platform. Considered the Fix, or the Arsenal. Just wanted a small basically backup. For the instance I want to ground hunt but as I’m going in a find the perfect tree I wanna still be able to setup in it

Finally got around to attaching the .5 to the ARK. Excessive, I know, but I had it and decided to give it a go. As you would expect, it wears extremely well fit wise, comfortable and lightweight. The carbon sheet will bend to conform to the platform. Held in place with zip ties.

I would recommend setting the frame up to strap in the stand. No bulk when the stand is hung.

You also have the option to run a pack as the compression sleeve.

That works. Pricey treestand hauler, though. You’ll never be wanting for anything else! :)

If you position the cables to let the seat post lean back all the way you will see the locking hole stick through the platform. Use a 1/4” hitch pin like you would to lock a seat into shelf position with a 22” post

It works very well. Basically the only reason I hesitated when selling my .75
