Any particular reason you don’t bring the bag with you? I’ve had a few climbs this off season with the 5900 and it is cumbersome but it works.

To me, even if they were, that makes me like a company more. If they personally use a product they love and aren't afraid to mention it even though they don't make it, or it works better than something they actually make, that builds credibility for them in my book. I remember in one of Cody's videos, I think it was the hunt low one, he talks about not needing but two sticks. He mentions the fact that "we sell sticks" and then goes on to basically say he doesn't think you need to go out and buy a bunch of them...that one or two with aiders will do it. Advice like that seems more genuine and real hunting oriented than a video that just seems like a commercial to get us to buy as much from a company as possible.

Yes, I use the stand as a frame pack. Only for hauling in the stand, sticks, and a small backpack. It is not used as a meat hauler. If I shoot something I quarter it up, haul all my gear out, and return with a dedicated meat hauling frame pack, which is more suited to that task.

For the attachment point between the xray straps and the stand: There is one long 1” webbing for the shoulder straps. It is doubled back on itself and held in place by tri-glides. The doubling back of the 1” webbing onto itself attaches the shoulder straps to the treestand and also provides a 1” strap handle for picking up the whole thing, as shown in the pictures. No sewing or special buckles required.

This looks like an awesome setup for its simplicity and can be found for less than $100. Probably not the most comfortable though without some cushion or lumbar support if you’re hiking in 2-3 miles.
 
Does anyone have a sidekick/extended sidekick mounted on a mesh seat? Anybody know if it’s possible without drilling into the seat frame? I picked up a 1.0 back in May and guy had a mesh seat on it. Originally thought I’d swap out for a medium but after trying it out I decided it was too comfortable to not use it lol. Got an extended sidekick currently mounted to the platform but don’t care for how much I have to move to grab my bow.

It doesn’t seem like it’s possible. The only possible way seems to be drilling through the metal frame and I have zero desire to try that. I guess I’ll have to just live with it on the platform and get good at getting it off stealthily. Having the bow right in front of my hand at the perfect height in a saddle setup may have spoiled me.

Drill it through the frame, you'll be fine
 
Waiting on a set of cable aiders to come in and then will post pics of my setup. 1.0, mesh seat, compact doubles. I’ll list the rest with the pics.
