LWCG stand setups

My setup is finally ready to rock and went and practiced with it a couple times this morning.
1.0 w/ standard post, mesh seat, ext sidekick
2 Compact doubles w/ 16” EWO cable aiders and j hooks. Have 2 more without aiders but will keep them in the truck as a just in case.
Stealth strips on the stand and sticks
Amsteel guy USA (might change that out)
Latitude 2.0 backpack straps and waist belt
XOP Holiday w/ latitude dump pouch
2 Hangfree 8mm tether/linemans. One rope stays connected to the lineman’s loop at all times.
Latitude ranger 11 and Code of Silence bino harness 2.0 to carry my stuff
Coming in at 26.5ish pounds with a bottle of water and most everything I’m gonna be carrying

Really like the setup so far. Just going to take some getting used to. If I want to “hybrid” hunt it for a short sit it feels plenty doable with the holiday but I still have my saddle if I need/want it. The holiday doesn’t ride down when I walk and the leg straps don’t feel in the way which is great. Not sure how I feel about the location of my bow with the sidekick. The location of it when saddle hunting has spoiled me. I’d much prefer it mounted to the seat - I think - to reduce movement but maybe it won’t be as bad as I’m thinking. Need to cut and silence the j hooks and figure out another option for a pull rope as that thing drove me nuts getting tangled around everything.

Setup time was 15:44 and take down was 12:40. Acceptable but can and will be better. The pull rope added probably 2 or 3 minutes during setup so I feel like I can be pretty close to 10 mins either setting up or taking down once I’ve done a few more repetitions and smoothed out the hooks and rope.

Thought yall might like how I’ve fashioned the rope to keep the pack strapped down and the 3d printed clip I mounted to hold my pack.

Finished adding stealth strips to the .5. Added foot rests and mounted it on my Kuiu frame. Can’t wait for 10/1!

Where did you source the foot rests?

@gcr0003 why about carrying upside in meatshelf instead of threading through bottom straps?
Trying to find a way to pack it where it’s not sticking up. When I duck under and through brush anything above shoulder height get annoyingly caught up. I agree sticking through the bottom straps isn’t going to work, too cumbersome.

I can’t remember the layout of buckles, but what if you set it up to open pack off of the shelf like a book? Unhooking only left or right side and this way you’re not fishing through straps eveytime

I love all of the info in this thread. I'm ready to buy .5 but i'm finalizing what I want stick wise. Does anybody have any insight as to when a 3rd generation might come out? I emailed the company and they said nothing this year. As bad as I want one for this season, if a 3rd gen comes out next year maybe it's worth waiting.

3rd generation what?

Oh, ok. Thank you. When I started looking into them, I read several times about the current 2nd generation stand. I just assume when I buy one, the following month they'll release a 4lb best ever stand.
Even if it does happen and if you take care of your stuff, you’ll have no problem selling the .5 at a reasonable price to put toward the latest and greatest. We’ve all heard it, but next year is not a guarantee for anyone. If you can make it happen financially, I say go ahead and get the set up that gets you excited to get out in the woods.

As I’m sitting on an oak flat on the edge of bedding currently I had some thoughts. This is hunt #3 out of my LWCG Ranger Hybrid and while I like a lot of things about it there are some cons for me.

1. I still struggle to have enough foot space to comfortably and easily shoot to the weakside. Last 2 years in a .5 this wasn’t an issue, the 2 seasons before that on a RZR Mag and Tethrd Predator XL I also struggled to shoot weakside. I know at some point this is going to burn me because a lot of spots I hunt they can come from multiple directions

2. I don’t enjoy the up cam to set as much as I thought I would. It’s way more finicky than just hanging and toe camming.

So following up on that I’m considering selling the Ranger Hybrid and either A) going back to a .5 so I have some more flexibility or B) getting a 1.0 for the large foot room. I do tend to sit a little more still in a traditional hang on than leaning in a saddle. I do enjoy sitting with my knees into the cushion flipped over though. I know I can do that on the .5, was wondering if anyone does that on a 1.0? I’m 6’3 so longer legged than most. Any input would be a help with my journey to the perfect stand
