Magnus Broadhead Recommendations

I bought a pack of stinger buzzcuts with the bleeders this spring. First test shot went through my target and into my fence post. Buried deep enough I couldn’t get it out without destroying the head. Think penetration will be just fine

Honestly, the only reason they're not the only head I shoot is because I enjoy tinkering with everything too much.
I hear ya. I do too but I think I'm finally ready to show someone some loyalty haha

I. can't speak for the buzzcuts, but I shoot 150 grain 2 blade stingers ,and have had no complaints yet, .

no complaints about my buzzcuts. I thought they would be the head that I was going to run for a while but I just cant resist buying broadheads. I think I am going to counseling next week for it.

Their warranty is the best...Mike Sohm is still involved with Magnus in some way because he was who I went thru when I had some bullheads replaced this year....I'm thinking of trying the black hornets....

Haha that's how I feel about anything to do with saddle hunting and I haven't even got mine in yet lol I may need therapy.

I'm really considering black hornets or stingers.

I've been shooting the buzzcut serrazors for the last couple years. I laid down a few deer with them. In my mind they are penetrator head and not bleeders. I stuck a dandy on a hard quartering to shot. Tucked it tight to the shoulder, exited through the guts. He only went 150 yards and piled up.The whole arrow was in the deer at one point, and was still stuck in the ground a foot after exit. Not much for blood though, but wouldn't expect much given the shot angle. Shot a few does with them as well, but never had one of those "holy piss" blood trails. All pass thru's and all the blades sharpened up great except for the one that hit a rock.
Aside from that, they fly very well. With my last 2 bows, they hit with the field points out to 60 yards. I typically run a heavy (500 gr +) arrow which helps with arrow flight

I shot phat heads without bleeders and they were a great head I don’t think u can go wrong with any one head

I wanted to like the Black Hornets but not a fan of the ferrule design. Not much meat there

Any of you guys shot the snuffer ss? They look a lot like a G5 montec to me

I ordered some buzzcuts earlier this year and finally got around to shooting one a month or so ago. When I bought them I wasn’t aware of their warranty I just heard great things about the heads. First shot with one went through my target and into a fence post. Buried far enough I had to pry it out with pliers and it didn’t make it out whole. I think I later stumbled onto this thread and learned of their warranty a day after I had thrown the head in the trash. Got home and the wife had put it on the curb that morning and the trash was gone. I emailed Mike and after some back and forth and sending some pix of what happened and proof of purchase he took way more care of me than he should have. Businesses that treat their customers like that keep me around.

Im shooting the BH's both in my Halon and my daughters Excal xbow. Flight is outstanding in both. Razor sharp after a bit on the Lansky.
Any BH can break. I broke two muzzy trocars year before last. Not the blades, the actual ferrule.
