Made an adjustment mod for the bridge. Used 1” tubular webbing with 7/16” rope cut at about 1/2” zip tied to the bridge loops. Enables the bridge to be adjusted at three different positions.

No, I agree stitching would be best. That’s why I used zip ties, plus I wanted to make sure the position was good.

Figure out best position
Mark it
Then take it to a tailor and have them make it permanent

Thanks, great information. Didn’t even know that tool existed. If it works out I will either take it to a tailor or get the speedy stitcher.

I was the same way....I had never known about this tool till I saw one on the shelf. I bought it years ago and did a lot of various repairs. Then I discovered this forum and saw what all these other guys were making and busted it back out.....
 
I was nervous about this one at first.... This is the main attachment loop to my aider. Sewing awl is slow and unsightly but it's strong. This won't budge vs come-a-long. Good tool to have in the toolbag IMG_20200111_210117_0.jpgIMG_20200111_210038_9.jpg
 
I just bought the mantis, wish I would have waited a few weeks and bought the phantom. Sometimes you gotta work with what ya got

Nice idea. I don't think stitching it would take all that long. Would you add a couple more channels?
 
Probably not. I had a difficult time getting comfortable. I used the original lower stitching and it was too low. Using it as is was too high. So I made the adjustments so I could use the as is as the top adjustment, the lower adjustment is about 1/4” above the lower stitching and the middle adjustment is in between. I have not hunted out of it yet, however the middle adjustment seems perfect trying it out in the yard.
