Map Analysis Idea

Hey guys I didn't see anything in relationship to this when I was looking, I thought it could beneficial if we had a thread where we could upload images of an area and analyze the maps. Its always better to have two sets of eyes looking at something. I also believe we could pick up a thing or two from other people that we may have overlooked and in theory hone our individual skill sets. I know nothing beats boots on the ground but it was just a thought I had while reading Mapping Trophy Bucks by Brad Herndon and also from watching G2Outdoors videos of his out of state Illinois hunts.

Would love some feedback from other members!

Thanks,

Pod

I don’t post aerial photos of places I hunt anymore. Once posted, it is there for any joe blow to use so long as they can recognize the area.

That is a good point! With all the great minds in this forum I am sure we could find a way to possibly do this in a secured manner such as using google drive etc.

I post a lot of maps in my videos and threads on here. But guess what...none of them are real...shhhhh. For instance, all of the maps I posted in my IL public land series came from Minnesota. :) :) :) I know there are some people digging around IL looking for those exact land features and it's driving them CRAZY!

I'll search around and find some terrain that looks similar from a different part of the country and use that. All the lessons/scouting/setups I demonstrate still apply, but I protect my actual locations.

We all know your spots don't have critters on them anyways! :D
