Map Scouting a new property

Good looking property with a lot of transitions. I would head straight for the water. I would be looking for bucks to bed in and around it and then make their way to the hardwoods to feed. I like the little spot at the 3 o' clock position that has a small orange circle on it. That looks like a really interesting spot. I also like the southern part of the property including the S.E. and S.W.. corners. Personally I would save my funnels for rut, unless there is a reason for bucks to go through them early season ie..... headed to a food source etc.........

Yeah, i'd like to see the possible over looked spot where a deer like in your profile picture will be walking LOL!
I know the map is gonna fill up and all spots and suggestions are what most of us would do. Like they said boots on the ground and how to access your locations are gonna be very important. With that said the 3 spots I marked with “orange” would be spots I would try also. Just because they are small and on the border. You may be able to use other hunters to your advantage if you know when they hunt the surrounding property and how they access also. Good luck! Getting out there and thoroughly looking is gonna be the sure way. Just do it now so when time comes your not pressuring. Understanding that crops and other food sources will also affect.E870C569-0DE9-44A6-9F89-3FC846B70CF9.jpeg

What do you think of this property from a map scouting perspective? It is a 120 acre piece that can be accessed by road in the left hand corner on the west side of the property. Could access by boat as well but I wouldn't have that option. Where would you start your focus?
I have a good amount of cyber scouting videos on my channel. May help you out if your interested please feel free to check out

assuming i can't get to those spots because of depth of water, etc. would you set up on the points across from them? I'll get a better idea once i walk it with trails but i'm almost certain i won't be able to walk out to those points.

Like was mentioned earlier, boat access would be a huge plus for that property, esp the 2 spots either side of that cove.
