Mathews VXR versus V3 advice

You didn’t ask me but I was very skeptical at first as well but eventually tried an HDX and I now have multiple and have never had an issue. I know it’s a slightly different model but I would feel confident using it myself

People swear by the hdx, that’s what all my friends use, I’m probably over thinking all of this, I just like to get something dialed in and not screw with it, especially bows, guns I mess with every day! I really like the idea of the dovetail mount I hunt pretty hard and it seems like a strong solution not that I have ever had rest problems in the past.

I’ve never had a problem, but to your point if you wanted to exchange a bit of speed for a bulletproof solution your comfortable with then I see no harm in it. Use what ya love. Who cares about the rest……

Who cares about the rest. :tearsofjoy:

......

I'm surprised to hear of these issues. I did have a problem with a QAD, it was an early model and I think maybe refurbished. It never made it to the woods. But, my brother has run one forever, set it and forget it for him...he's had no need for adjustment. Actually, he mocks me because...

I've run Ripcord for a long time and had an issue in the field with sluggish drop after 10yrs of hard use. I still killed a buck at about 30yds when that happened. The company was great to deal with and I have enough confidence in them that I'm still using their rests.

I wonder what deviation these reported issues are producing? For me, I still hit my poa.

Anyway, the bearings on all these new rests are so superior. So, get them timed right and served in. It's alot easier to do that than it was in the past.

Sounds like Topdog knows what factors to watch, should be a great rest for that bow.
