Merino wool base layers

I like the 150 FL but isn’t that the top w nylon underarm area? Nylon makes me stink so I don’t use those for deer hunting, only game where I don’t care about scent. To be honest I use wool for all of its qualities other than it’s heavier. And having garments that don’t stink is nice, even though I don’t rely on that for deer. I just hunt the wind and watch my routes if possible.

I have first lite and kuiu. I find myself using the kuiu 145 zip off bottoms allot. I also have the 97 synthetic zip offs. I can layer them both. I find myself using the 150 fuse first lite nearly all the time.

I meant to had the 150 top is what I use all th time. I have the kiln 250 but thinking in the situation for that I’d rather have a 97 peleton in its place.

Just fyi, REI has their midweights on sale it appears. Made by REI Co-op, but might work for ya. I ordered some to try out.

I got a medium weight top and bottom off midway USA last year for about $125 for both. My camo isn’t that expensive……but I’m so glad I bought the set! Very comfy and plenty warm enough for north Georgia. It is very comfy too with no scratching that I noticed. I had some poly base layers and sweated my butt off.

My favorite bottoms are Kuiu zip offs, those things rock, stop and drop your pants and zip them bad boys off and leave your shoes right on

Zip off sounds outstanding. I have a lot of merino stuff but nothing zips off. That would be perfect when you shoot one and are suddenly expending a lot of energy dragging one out.
