Merry Christmas Red Beard

My girlfriend loves this kids saddle. Thinks it’s cute so she had to try it on. She’s 5’8 and 145 pounds for reference. Here are some pics. I think it hits the sweet spot of not huge for smaller kids but will fit a bigger kid. Once Red Beard gets it he can report back with any changes that may need to be madeView attachment 41134View attachment 41135View attachment 41136
This looks similar to the flex build right? Do you remember what you made the overall dimensions? My wife wants to come hunting with me this year and I’d love to get her up in the tree. Going to see about making one this week for her. My wife is 5’2” ~130 so I think this would fit her well.

I’ll see if I can find the measurements tonight and post them. Off the top of my head the panels for your wife should be 20 or 22 inches wide and 16 inches tall. Then mark the edges on both sides starting from center and putting a mark every 1.5 inches to mark the pleat folds. Put a radius on the top and bottom. Half inch for the top and 1.5 inch for the bottom.

Thanks man!

this is where I start on measurements for each build on single panel saddles. The pleat is the same for all of them. Mark the center on each side and then three marks up and three marks down at 1.5 inches per mark. Those will be the marks to fold the pleat. Be sure to sew the pleat shut about 1/4 of an inch from the edge binding on each side so it won’t rip out on the edges once it’s open and holding weight
