Michigan draw results came out today, drew a public land doe tag for up north again, might actually use it this year. Also drew a Shiawassee refuge state land side hunt permit for October 31st till November 14th, perfect time, right before gun season starts and it's the rut.

Awesome! I got my doe tag for public land by me. There's barely any public land so the tags are tight. Every where else I hunt isnt too bad or it's in the CWD regions so I can get as many doe tags as I want.

I'm gambling this year that my doe tag donation won't be necessary and I can pick up a leftover.

My usual hunting area was deemed part of the cwd area last year so public for tags were aplenty, felt weird hunting during muzzleloader with a regular deer rifle. I just like having a doe tag for up north in case I go up there to hunt with friends.

One of the lucky 35 for that Shiawassee hunt. I also applied for that one and did not get it. Good luck!
 
Going scouting on the refuge the weekend of the 27th, did some online scouting and found acouple areas that look interesting. Might be using the job boat to access a spot. Picked up 3 doe permits for my main hunting area the day leftovers went on sale, still had 1800 public permits for my area at the time.
