It also shows just how many quality products have come out in the last few years. When I started reading SH just a few years ago the latest and greatest idea was jamming a piece of 3/4 plywood into a Wild Edge step to use as a platform. Which you could only do if you already had a Wild Edge step since they were sold out everywhere.

Now a days the issue is finding the plywood :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

What i got. My predator is a pretty good platform and I own it. Not worth replacing over something a few inches bigger.
I think I saw my errors why one sticking wasn't working seeing someone in person do it. Want to give it a go again. The right set up helps.

I didn't try a lot of sticks. But have come to the conclusion they all do the same thing. You use your sticks on the way up. And even if I use sticks I think I am going to start repealing down.

Spend money to get a comfortable saddle. Being able to sit still longer and not move as much is what is gonna bring the deer in closer. Not the fancy equipment to get up the tree.

Feedback from guys that we’re there? Favorite sticks, platforms, small difference mAkers?

The timber hitch that @boyne bowhunter showed me, blew. my. mind. It's simple, faster, infinitely adjustable. I've liked my daisy chains for my platforms, but I'll be switching over to this for the year.

Also, I was very impressed with the Predator. I had a mission previously and an EDP now; I LOVED my mission and so far the EDP is nice but untested. The Predator is just so packable and in reality not that much smaller. Never seeing ii in person, I just had it in my head that it was small. Plenty of room on it though to be honest.

This was a great bunch of guys. I'd be happy to meet up again to say what's up. Maybe go more central? Up by Lansing? Or GR? All you gotta do is call out a date and location and see if anyone is interested.

Rest of the year is pretty busy on and off, but I'm always down to try and get away for any time that I can.

That was fun for sure, its always fun to talk deer hunting. It was so crazy to see all the new innovations and actually get to put your hands on them. I wish I would of made it out a touch earlier to everyone.

Very cool event for sure!
