I'm trying to decide what time I need to leave on Saturday. What time did we settle on for the get together? Looking forward to it!

1pm was the only time stated. Figured it would give guys with a drive some time to make it happen. Im not 100% sure about what the trees are like by that parking lot on the map there. Was hoping some one had been there before could confirm. I have been there, but not in that part.

Yeah, I was planning on getting there about 1 pm give or take. I figured earlier than that and guys who were driving from farther would have to leave too early. Who knows, the weather is looking nicer and nicer, maybe I'll bring my hammock and set it up.

Good seeing and meeting everyone today! Funny seeing saddle hunters explain what we are doing to someone in a saddle :)

Good seeing/meeting everyone. It was neat seeing some of the new gadgets, saddles and talking saddle hunting. Thanks for putting this together @MattMan81! Also, Big Thanks for the giveaways @DanO! It was an unexpected surprise.

Yes! Great to put some real faces to names. I enjoyed my self as well. We had a beautiful afternoon! Watching @boyne bowhunter ez his way up that tree one sticking got me thinking about trying it again. That Transformer is one sweet saddle. Nice work @JCLINE84
@Treehopper2 had a nice saddle going there as well!
Thanks @DanO for the door prizes and demo gear. What spec was that platform you had with the UP platform on it? Height and aider?

Had a great time everyone! Fantastic putting some usernames to faces.

@DanO thanks for bringing all the toys, our orders, and the door prizes! They were certainly unexpected!

@MattMan81 that's for encouraging all of us to pick a date and make it happen!

Feedback from guys that we’re there? Favorite sticks, platforms, small difference mAkers?

something that was brought up a few times, doesn’t matter if you have 20 different sets of sticks and 20 diff saddles, you could take 20 guys and there would be a huge variety picked for their saddle and sticks (climbing method) they preferred.

honestly I think it really just proved to me why events like this are awesome.

Gear-wise, the two items I was interested in seeing in person were the EWO UP platform and the Overwatch Transformer saddle. Those were both on my list of likely purchases this year (if @JCLINE84 drops out of school and ups his production :)). I came away impressed with both. I also liked the saddle @Treehopper2 brought too. I was amazed at the Tethred One stick's almost weight-less feel.
But I also like talking to other saddle hunters because I always learn something new or get to see a technique I had not thought of myself. Watching someone like @boyne bowhunter go through his well-defined setup and routine gives me ideas on things I can improve upon in my own system

It also shows just how many quality products have come out in the last few years. When I started reading SH just a few years ago the latest and greatest idea was jamming a piece of 3/4 plywood into a Wild Edge step to use as a platform. Which you could only do if you already had a Wild Edge step since they were sold out everywhere.
