I've been lurking here a couple of months and thought it was about time to get formal. I've read a lot of great information here in the past couple of months. Glad to see a great community full of information and thanks in advance to those who contribute! New to saddle hunting and new to hunting. Just moved to mid-Missouri this past summer from Texas for wife's military assignment...yes, we move all the time. Rock climbing/mountaineering background so I'm familiar with hanging from a piece of rope in sometimes sketchy places. Looking forward to learning more and contributing where and when I can.

Welcome! Currently live in KS but grew up in MO. There are quite a few guys around there. Keep an eye out on a meet up this spring or summer to get a chance to try several products before you jump into the deep end.

Welcome from Iowa. It will be good to get more input from guys with climbing experience.

Kansas and Missouri- beautiful states!

I’m already neck-deep. Have a Tethrd Phantom and have made some DIY items as well as some mods. I think I like the hunting part as a means to just DIY, climb and rappel off something!

Thanks for the welcomes!

Welcome from Maryland!

Where in MD? I did a year of prereqs for nursing school in College Park at UMD. Great School! By your name, I’m guessing you went there. Would have been a great place for undergrad. Alway fun to rub Testudo’s nose on the way into the library!

My wife graduated from college park & strongly prefers the old Testudo vs. new....... I’m just a college basketball fan but I’ll claim the name for the $ I’ve spent on student loans.... lol
Where are you going to end up in MO ? I grew up there before leaving for the Navy, been Turkey hunting in northern & central Missouri ever since.

I agree with old vs new. A mascot should look friendly, not like he's going to bite your head off. Still one of the best mascots in the NCAA despite being a turtle.

We're in St. Robert/Waynesville/Ft. Leonard Wood. Probably only another 18 months here and then onto something new that the Army may bring us.

Thank you for your service!! There’s a lot of good hunting in the state, take advantage of your stint there. Plenty of MO guys too......
