I liked the idea of the HYS strap. So I made a mini one. Props to Tethrd for the instructions. I made my loops a little wider though.

This may be a dumb question but could your tether be used as the HYS strap (obviously excluding the loops)? Couldn't you just carabiner clip your gear to the tether?
