Missouri Meetup

Springfield mo
Spfld sounds great to me.. A lot to do for people traveling and could probably do it at Ritter Springs park just north of town. Just make sure we don't plan it on a day they're having a 3d shoot

16 submissions so far FYI. When do we want to stop submissions and make a decision?

End of the month is my vote so people can have plenty of time to plan.

So the 31st of this month and feb 1st ?

I will compile all of the results of the form at the end of January and we can see when people want to do it. As of right now it looks like it might be last weekend of May or First of June for the meet up.

If I may interject here...

Not that anyone asked my opinion, but it's a free country so I'm gonna give it. I've put on a few of these meet ups over the years. The best way is for someone to say, "on this date, at this location, at this time we're doing a saddle event"

If someone doesnt do that...it won't happen. Analysis paralysis is a thing. Have fun!

Not to hijack the Missouri meetup thread but I did a survey for the WI meetup because I wanted to get an adea if what saddles, sticks and platforms everyone has so we had an idea going in what could be there for show and tell. I agree with your point though on the where and when part.

I’m in for a different meetup as well, but just so it’s known,Tethrd is hosting a meetup on April 4th in Eureka. I think someone posted a link to the event in this thread as well.

I think the april 4th meet up is in st louis. Unless they are holding one in two different places at the same time

Hey Missouri hunters. I will be following this thread and I know there are a couple of other Arkansas guys checking it out. I live in Fayetteville, AR so that is pretty extreme northwest Arkansas. Springfield would do well for those of us in this area if we are invited. No guarantees depending on the date and location yall settle on.

Inside joke about the....errr, persuasions and leanings of said folk.
At one time it was one of the only places I know of in Arkansas that had urban archery due to the deer population. Not sure if they still do it.

You could also have an ounce of weed and just be a misdemeanor. That was way before laws started getting passed.

Depending on dates I would probably try to make that as well. If the southern border is open LOL. The park/archery range where they have Mojam might be a good location if that is an option. Not sure who to contact about availability though. It would meet the central location.
I’m guessing most everyone would want it over a weekend. One day? Two?

I think it’s sensible to meet in the central portion of the state since it sounds like we’re and far flung for the most part. What do you guys think?

Does early August make sense, since that would give us time to warm up and get the preseason started off with some new saddle thoughts just in time to order before season hits?
I would like to see it in June when it still warm/hot August usually very hot, yes I’m interested in it !!

Bump to the Top! Last day to fill out form and get input in the meet up!

Only 20 responses and I know more people have had interest. If anything will give us better idea of where everyone is located.
