Mod the Mantis or new saddle?

I made my mantis bridge adjustable, without cutting anything off, and found that I really like a shorter bridge. I f you want to try that, I'll figure out how to post a picture of the modification. But it's just a cord around the bridge loop and a prussic on the bridge itself. It works great (and I really wish I could say I thought of it myself)

I have a Kestrel Flex on order.
I figured I could at least try a deluxe model to compare to.
I am also very thankful to have another member letting me try one of his saddles.
I am getting the feeling it is not uncommon to have a couple of Saddles.

I'm curious if you use the micro adjusters? I modded my mantis with some stops on the bridge loops to mimic the comfort channels on the phantom. Also added an adjustable bridge. Makes a big difference

This is a fantastic idea. I found that bridge length fixed a lot for me. But I also moved from a mantis to a kestrel.

After stimulating the economy and waiting patiently they have arrived.
Kestrel flex with adjustable webbing bridge.
H2 slingshot with the triad bridge.
Two excellent, well made pieces of gear.
I sat in them both briefly while I was converting another tree stand guy to a saddle.
I will be selling a Mantis soon.

It amazes me how varying comfort levels are between individual people and different saddle types. I’ve owned 5 different saddles and the mantis is perfect for me. By far the most comfortable for me. Glad you found something that will fit your needs better. At least there are a lot of options available now days. Makes it much easier.

Looking for a little more comfort, I like to hunt at least 4 hours.
I also like the adjustable bridge idea. I have one season into my Mantis and Saddle hunting. I absolutely love saddle hunting.
looking for ideas and a little help.

Mantis last year, sold it I could never get comfortable. Almost gave up on saddle hunting but ordered a flex that arrived a week ago. HUGE difference in comfort and adjustability.

It’s funny I was talking about selling my mantis after the season but I just got my first hunt in Saturday morning after changing my bridge to the triad. Makes it so much more comfortable. So much more I may not even sell it now!
