Modifying my KME Sharpener for 35 degree broadheads. Bad idea?

So I really enjoy the KME Precision Knife Sharpening System on my broadhead. I have been able to get most broadheads really sharp. Problem is the limit on it is 30 degrees, which means I cant use it on some of the newer design like VPA or Iron Wills which has a 35 degrees angle. Soooooo...I was wondering if I can just bend the L bracket on the system inward a tiny bit to get that 35 degrees? So I would need to relabel all the measurement to new setting, 17-30 to 23-35, but most broadheads are 25+ anyway.

I'm a failure at physic or engineering....so is my common sense solution a bad idea?

I feel like once it bends it will bend again, is it possible to make an extension that would go on the vertical portion to give you the elevation you need?
 
I’m pretty sure iron wills are a 32 degree bevel. Shoot that sucker through a deer, and resharpen at 30 degrees. I doubt it will take a lot of effort to go from 32 to 30 degree overall.
 
I dont see any reason to ruin a perfectly good knife sharpener, knife being the key word, for a broad head.

That same company has a top of the line broadhead sharpener designed perfectly for Iron wills and VPAs

Chimney and BigMike both offer the advice I’d follow. If you start bending that thing you’re likely to break it / take all the precision out of it.

Could you instead wrap the guide rod with something to make it slightly thicker where it interfaces with the slot? You could make something that pulls on and off.
