This my second year hunting from a saddle. I killed a couple deer last year, but both times from a pre set hang on. I got 7 hunts in this year, 6 from a saddle and 1 from the ground. The saddle method (I climb one stick) allowed me to learn the area I'm hunting and adjust. On my 7th sit (5th different tree) I had a six and this guy come through. The 6 stayed out of range. Fortunately mine took a different trail that put him broadside at 32 yards.
At 62, I have another first in my life!! Thought I'd share. Hunt safe. God bless!

Thank you. I just can't say enough about being able to carry 6 pounds instead of 20+ and hunt pretty much wherever I want, as deep as I want. And do it comfortably and quietly. I will be the first to say that I do not have good hunting instincts. The conversion to a saddle has been very helpful.

Congrats!

Congrats! Love to see old dogs learning new tricks. It keeps life interesting. Gives hope to those of us with just a few less miles on the odometer.

Congrats and you should be proud at 62 you are open to change and growth. Beautiful buck !!
