My sticks and platform

Not comfortable for longer sits

Idk. I’ve never had a problem.
I could see where a angled platform might be comfortable but it would seem to make walking around the tree awkward. It’s not like you could stand on it and pivot for a shot as easily.

I agree 100% the angle is the most crucial part for me. I could stay still as a rock if my feet didnt hurt/fall asleep

Have you tried both styles? Or is this something you “feel” would make a difference?

U would have to try... Standing and all that is just as easy as if the platform was 90degrees.

With a 90degree platform I could make it all day sit but the following day I'd have ankle soreness and by day 3 it was just plain uncomfortable....

Ive tried it at the base of the tree on roots coming off at an angle. And ive tried on 90 degree platforms. I can move arount the tree both ways just as easily if not more so with the angled platform but the edge doesnt dig in to my boots. Have you tried both?

Why would i need to stand up to pivot and shoot? Seems like i would just want to be in a tree stand at that point. Im still utilizing the platform 100% as a base to push my weight into.

Im still new to all this so im still learning.

Everybody says your either a sitter or leaner but I think there's more to it. Every saddle I've tried was plenty comfortable pretty much all the time...but after 3or4 days straight of hunting you'll know if your platform angle is off. I think soft platforms you can kinda shape will be catching on.... especially with folks like @always89y making them. I'm part of the metal mafia.....I can make pretty much whatever I can dream up....but I'm trying to eliminate the metal all together except a biner or 2.....
