Just curious out of fellow hunters in cold climates that use military surplus boots which one they prefer?

the mukluks look more comfortable, but ive heard the bunny boots you can pour water into them and still be warm in -10F.

Anyone have insight or experience with either of these

I knew a bunch of guys that used bunny boots up in Alaska during the winter they recommend them.

Get the mukluks with Sorrel wool liners. I've used both and my feet would always sweat and then get cold with bunny boots.

does waterproofing work on the mukluks to add a bit of waterproofing? from what i understand they are not that great in wet snow

I want to know more about these N1Bs. Seems to me you get a light weight pack boot for less than $100. Any downsides to these?

All the above checks out. I'm from Alaska and grew up hunting, fishing and snowmobiling wearing mickey mouse boots. They are very warm but also very cumbersome. The mukluks are very comfy and warm but need waterproofed. My dad worked on the north slope and used to use saddle soap and sno seal on his.

I found a pair of the white BBoots that fit (lady hunter here-size 5) which are hard to come by. they would be too cumbersome to climb a tree in but I think they will be perfect for still hunting in dec and outdoor stuff in Jan.. ideal temp would be 10 or colder.. I do have Steiger mukluks which are also very warm but only in dry snow.. no swamps or wet stuff.. bunnies are ideal for cold/wet. Im in MN and it gets pretty cold come late Dec..
