Need shot arrow input

Sorry to hear you didn’t find him. You did everything you could asking for advice and getting a dog. I was betting he would lay up in CRP ,the cold would kill him overnight, or he would be dead somewhere along that water edge.

Dang that sucks, sorry to hear it. Keep an eye out for birds over the next couple of days, they'll let you know when they find him.

Its public land about an hour away. My attempt at recovery was this morning. Hopefully the deer can recover.

Thanks for all the input and suggestions guys.

Its driving me nuts and Im still trying to figure out what went wrong. Calculated the possible impact of the gloves and stuff messing with my anchor. Doesnt mean I still didnt punch or pull it, just looking for ways to minimize it happening again. Think Ill leave my release hand gloveless and in a muff next time. Not sure if the drawing and my calcs are on matching scales, but gives me an idea anyways. Can someone measure their deer ass to chest? haha

X2 on practicing with your gear. Last year my camo was too bulky and was catching my string on release. I never would have known that my shot would have been off had I not practiced in full late-season camo.
