New Aerohunter saddle?

Yeah, they responded the same to me.

Darn I’ve bought two of their saddles, love their build quality and would like to do business with them again. Even if I use the bridge loops, I’d have to slice off their sewn-in lineman’s webbing and that’s just too cheesy on a new saddle.

Pass.

Im wondering if it will be possible to leave the sewn on buckle to keep it clean but just remove the webbing from it. Either way I understand your frustration with that option.

It’s removable so you would not have to do any slicing

I use my lineman’s belt a lot less one sticking, 2 tether climbing or rope climbing. I think having a compact webbing L belt that you can deploy and stow quickly for those short times where you need a lineman’s belt during transfers is a nice idea. It does sound like it would be a pain to move up the tree with if you were climbing sticks since the webbing isn’t stiff.

If enough people ask about the linesman loops, maybe they’ll get a clue! I love aero as well and want to continue to support them. I’m not ruling out the belt without trying it….. but I’m skeptical…..

It looks interesting, but I'm not in need of a saddle at the moment so I look forward to the reviews.

Also, did they not get a couple Shrikes into the hands of the influencers/reviewers to get videos out on the drop date? That seems to be the norm nowadays

That’s what swayed my vote, I don’t need another unboxing video……. I’m not wild about the LB scenario but have a few ideas that dont involve scissors. I like all the other areas of concern that we’re addressed from the last build.

One more thing about the integrated LB and I’ll shut up about it - it locks you into swinging the lineman’s from right to left - the opposite of how I do business. Two lineman’s loops( ie. every other commercial saddle known to man) gives the hunter the ability to choose which hand does what.

Whattya know? They're still offering their old lineman's belt, even though there's no place for it with their current saddle offering.

I also swing my belt from left to right. I do have to give it to Aerohunter, they are always trying to be innovative with their designs. Not sure why they would want to include a lineman’s belt, I’m sure they sell a ton of them separate from their saddles. I called her yesterday to ask if they could add an extra lineman’s loop and she said no.

I forget which leg strap buckles my Kite had but I liked them.
That was an awesome saddle!

@Fl Canopy Stalker might know what kind they are???
The one you sold me had been replaced with g hooks but the original buckles were some sort of weird adjuster buckles, then they went to ISC quick release buckles. They are a little noisy but worked great. I like the g hooks on the one you sold me personally lol made it a lite kite

Bulletproof build and a perfect design would be bad for sales. The modern approach to marketing and product development is to keep the consumer always chasing the upgrade and innovation. Which is good in a way, this opens the door for smaller makers to do custom builds so that we can find exactly what we want by mixing and matching features.

I totally get what you’re saying and it frustrates the hell out of me. The same thing with Planned Obsolescence that the phone manufacturers do, make sure your phone goes out of date so you have to upgrade. Obviously that doesn’t work with everyone, like my dad whose still using an iPhone 6 or something, but that’s the minority.

I have always like the sewing on the aero hunter saddles. I even liked the bridge. What I dislike is when the users of the products say we want this. (Like lineman’s loops with red inserts) and they say no. Or even to have lineman’s loops. You can have any color you want, as long as it’s black (Henry Ford) attitude is not good for business. Well actually it’s good for your competitors business.

The company’s are simply trying to think of ways to improve their products and turn a profit. At the end of the day it’s just a saddle.
