Great. Improved JX3 eventually equals less $'s in my account. I love this thing. I probably wont' rush out and get this...the current one works fine. But, those seem like great improvements. The lineman's loops esp...for guys that have a little more belly (like me).

Someone (may have been Kyler) posted up a pic once of a fork they were working on that had 4 prongs instead of 2. That seemed like a good idea to me to add some more movement around the tree....I wonder why that didn't' make the cut. It must have had some issue in practical testing...

The JX 3 is great. Looking forward to see what is different in the new one.

I ordered a JX3 a little over a week ago. I got an email last night that included all of the pictures posted above about the improvements. The email also said I will be getting this new version. I was already super pumped about the JX3 but now I am even more excited!

It is the only way I use a hybrid. It is extremely simple to one stick with the hybrid. When you climb up and swing to the side all of your weight rests on the fork so you are comfortable when moving the stick up and down the tree.

Figures just when I get all my mods done to my JX3 John comes out with this. I added padded shoulder straps from my old pack frame. And modified the load lifters to work on the JX3. Added linemen loops that stick out to the front on the saddle further and made them where they stay open. Also took the belt off of the old frame pack and added to the existing belt to be able to get a easier and tighter fit on the belt to help distribute the load. Then added the gun or bow holder from a old pack I had, which also doubles as a strap system to strap my coat, bibs and additional clothing too for the hike in. And lastly modified my wildedge step bag to hang off of the molle loops on the belt.

I was finally able to place my order on August 10. I emailed them yesterday to see if I would be getting this upgraded one or the original version. I got a response in a couple hours that said "Yes you are automatically upgraded to the new version since you have an unfilled order!!" I was pumped before, but now even more so. Probably going to be Cruzr for sale soon.

I’d hang onto both for the season & really test them.
