New and improved jx3

Here are the new features listed in the email I received.

NEW Hybrid Features
Contoured EVA foam shoulder straps.
Cobra style metal buckles.
Built-in pack frame width adjustment harness clamps.
JX3 Outdoors logo etching and embroidery!
Sewn loops on lineman, tether, and prusik ropes.
and more. . .

Man these are nice features. I’m going to try not to resent hunting out of the Ver 1.0 model...

Those look like excellent changes. I received mine in February of this year. I haven't deer hunted with it yet, but so far it's been an excellent ground seat for turkey season, and I rigged it out as a remote mountain trout fishing rig after turkey season. I'd emailed orders@jx3... to see if they had load lifters available yet, and Donald responded that they may be available in October. In the meantime, if anyone has figured out load lifters for the "Gen 1" JX3, I'd sure appreciate the information.

I went to the website and got sticker shock $395 . I loved the Guidos Web and this new design looks great.

How much is a full minimalist saddle set up with all accessories needed to hunt? I went to the most well known company's website, and their kit is 370.00....... I can assure you their kit does not offer the features/benefits that the Hybrid does, and I can assure you they're making exponentially more money off of you than John is.

Unfortunately the kit has to be sold as a kit - Insurance requirements is my guess.

Look at my post #16 I have pictures showing my load lifters. I used the load lifters off of a old cabelas frame pack I had.

You get a pack with it

I cannot wait to try the second generation of the JX 3 hybrid. The first generation was really well thought out, but the improvements make it even better. I hunted out of it exclusively last fall and ended up selling all of my old climbing stands. I have been using the Lonewolf hand climber modified as my climbing method, but Parkersdad has me thinking about trying one sticking for additional weight savings. Our bow season opens here on September 12 so Lord willing I will be 20 feet up waiting on a big bear.

I can’t wait to try it either. My deer season starts September 12 as well.

I was finally able to place my order on August 10. I emailed them yesterday to see if I would be getting this upgraded one or the original version. I got a response in a couple hours that said "Yes you are automatically upgraded to the new version since you have an unfilled order!!" I was pumped before, but now even more so. Probably going to be Cruzr for sale soon.

One stick climbing is a very simple with the hybrid. Put the stick up a couple of feet, climb to the top swing to the side of the tree relax and rest on the fork while you grab the stick and slide it up. Repeat the process on the way down. I carry about 13 pounds total

But I haven’t even hunted from my old unused jx3

Me either. I sat a couple of hours in mine turkey hunting one day just to try it out. We will see if the new one arrives before I have to use the old unused one this season. Lol. I also have a couple of saddles I’ve sewn for myself I could use.

Considering this thread is nine months old are I safe to assume only GEN2 JX3's are currently being sold? As I am 90% convinced to buy one in the near future.
I will need to sell nearly all the saddle related equipment I currently own and actually never used to help fund my purchase including a last model version GW I never actually used as I bought it in anticipation of having to hunt entirely public land then was blessed with getting access to private land but now I can no longer use my Pin On tree stands or screw in steps on my land owners trees and only can use climbers, strap attached hang ons or ladder stands and I REALLY don't like strap attached hang ons or climbers. I am confident if I sell all my saddle related equipment I will have about 90% of the funds needed to buy a JX3 and a TL platform.

Forgot to ask
anyone know what the JX3 weighs? Checked the WS couldn't find a weight listed anywhere.

This thread is less than a month old, not 9 months old.

I placed an order for the JX3 Hybrid in the middle of August. Shortly after that I got an email from JX3 Outdoors telling me that I would be receiving the new model of the JX3 Hybrid. I received the upgraded Hybrid last week. I would say based on that information only the new version of the Hybrid is now being sold.

I have been hunting out of the Hybrid this week. It is the most comfortable seat I have ever hunted out of. I sold a bunch of my gear to afford the Hybrid and it was totally worth it.

Oh man. I am liking these. I hate the leg loops and linesman loops and I'm super skinny. I need a gen2 slim. But I'll have to unload my gen1. I would like to SRT with this and did not feel safe doing it with the gen2. I have not tried one stick with it, but ya'll got me thinking.

Is slim an available option yet?

They are selling the new generation hybrid saddles. Here is a photo of the new saddle compared to the old saddle. On my scale both of my saddles weigh in with the ropes at 11 pounds. I love both of mine. You will never be more comfortable in a stand

It isn’t yet. I’ve emailed a couple times and have been told I’m on a call list when they’re ready. So I can keep this thread updated when I hear something.
Curious what size you are and if you have had been able to try a slim in-person yet and what your thoughts are?
