Been testing this design out I’ve had in my head for awhile now and I’m really liking what I see.
It handles the torque from the bridge very well and the four bridge loops transfer the load very well into the straps.
I really don’t even notice the extra loops they just seem to work together and I’m impressed with the results.
I plan to get some out there when

I get everything lined out but for now I wanted to get everyone’s thoughts.

Got any pics of you wearing it in a tree? Did you cut off the D rings? or have it made that way.

It looks well built. Looks just like a transformer. How is it for comfort?

Thank you I worked hard on it. I have a great teacher @JCLINE has shown me basically everything I know about building saddles from the machine selection.build techniques , down to supplies and without him I’m not sure I would have ever been able to get it to this level.

Yes part of it does resemble the transformer he and I designed the original on his garage floor he gets the credit for the cool look he is a wizard on that machine.

The transformer has a different frame work it’s a true 2 panel design with a floating frame that the straps work through the D Rings.
This one is basically a split single panel with double bridge loops for weight transfer and double panels which allows the user to adjust the seat as they please.

What I’m trying to achieve with the double bridge loops is basically what a D ring does with the 4 straps coming out of it which is transfer weight across the straps and it does that very well.

As for comfort it’s nice but to be totally honest I have months of seat time in my original transformer and limited time in the double bridge loop saddle so I’m still testing but my short sets have impressed me.

Jamie and I have talked about this design and he likes what he sees and we plan to get together over the weekend and I’m sure we will take it to the next level.

The transformer is an awesome saddle and will actually be hard to ever top because it does so many things very well.

But my brain is always designing and I like to tinker so this thing was born.

Treehopper,
Well good luck with it. You guys are doing a great job of pushing the envelope. and advancing saddle hunting. I like the fact that it's metal less which to me is a good feature. The question is what is better. D ring for weight transfer between the panels or no noise. You have experience in both designs so your imput will be valuable. Can that leg buckle strap be put on the outside? It looks like over time that would be uncomfortable.

The question which is better that is to be determined because like I said earlier I personally don’t have the time in this one to say about how it feels 4 hours in a hunt because that’s how I judge comfort.
I can set in about any saddle for a couple hours it’s the longer sets that push design for me personally.
The D rings do a really good job of weight transfer so at this point I give the transformer the advantage.
Jamie and I talked a little about the double bridge design and he plans to build one when he gets the opportunity but understand that may be a little while because transformer builds have him covered up and I’m a autoworker with very long hours.
We have an idea for the double bridge design that could really improve comfort but that needs testing and time.
As for the leg loops I didn’t feel any hot spots from that but maybe a bigger guy it could be an issue but like you said it could just be put to the out side.
I don’t normally use leg loops but trying to design stuff for everyone I started using them to find potential problems in a complete setup.

Understood. It takes time to put ideas through the paces. 4 hours of trial time is definitely too short. Trial and error is where things start to develop. Comfort for long sits is what I'm looking for. I try to sit all day. Since I've been hunting the Eberhart style, I have realized the importance of all day sits. Some days I see more deer between 10 and 2 than I see AM and PM combined. To do that, a guy has to be as comfy as possible especially if it is slow at mid-day. I also understand about long hours. I'm a UPS driver and own my business. I'm patient. Long time till the season gets here.

Very nice. I modified an old treesuit to use 2 bridges. Very comfy.
I like this idea. His saddle 2 bridge loops and w/ actual 2 bridges would probably be very comfortable. I know when I have my tether and my linesman's belt on at the same time it's a totally different feel.
