Been lurking on this forum sorting out some information and took the plunge into a saddle. Got a used aero kite inbound and sorting out other gear needed. Took a doe already this season from a stand--totally new hunter and was thrilled with an opening day 'victory'. Looking forward to kitting out my set up and trying it out a bit in the yard in the coming weeks.
 
Also zone 10 MA. Welcome! I did 200 hours last season and couldn't take a single shot. Had 1 opportunity, and my boot squeaked and ruined it. This year, I have done about 15 hours and havent seen a thing.
 
Welcome from S NH and I hunt 10 as well. I thought last night was the opener, what happened? I thought 10 opened the 15th so I go out last night all excited, but at my hunting location I went to double checks mass regs to make sure I didn’t have to wear orange and was surprised to learn I missed the opener for 10 by 11 days!!
 
Yup. October 4th for 10 this year. No orange till shotty season on November 22. Either way, hope you had a good “opening day” sit! I was very entertained by a raccoon this morning but that was all I saw. Back out in an hour or so for evening.
