Is this going to be for SRT climbing so that you get a 6 to 1 mechanical advantage?
We need an eggplant emoji…..Is this going to be for SRT climbing so that you get a 6 to 1 mechanical advantage?![]()
Isn't that just a tender? There are self tending hitches, and a few ways to make hitches tend.![]()
New 7mm tether as well. The glide device seems to be some sort of micro/nano pulley. Wish I could buy just it..
Looks like an xl tender to me.Isn't that just a tender? There are self tending hitches, and a few ways to make hitches tend.
Anything notably different with their index compared to other offerings?Evolution Outdoors will have a new index release coming out around March-ish and an update for their thumb button release.
UPDATE: Got an email…..I’ve used metal rings before. They always seem to find a way to make noise in my pack and this seems to be less pieces, lighter & quieter while being capable of hoisting any deer I will ever kill to make the boning process at the site of the kill easier and cleaner.
Those are the boxes I will be looking to check. I’ll let you know what I find out after it arrives.
I'm Doing Something I Shouldn't Do... We've had incredible advances over the last week and a half. Our new Nylon Injection Molded Game & Gear Hoist is in the works AND we've begun pre-orders for our Aluminum Frame HD.
So I'm going to do something I shouldn't do. For those of you who purchased the Initial Release of the G&G, I'm going to give you an opportunity to upgrade. Our first release of the Game & Gear Hoist was awesome, and it's durable and does the job. But I feel some responsibility to tell you, as the owner and developer, we've come up with something better and it's moving FAST.
I'd feel bad if DAYS after you clicked "Check Out" you missed out on a new revision with a higher weight rating.
If you purchased the PETG Game & Gear Hoist and you're interested in upgrading to the Nylon version (deliveries expected to ship end of April,) please respond to this email or reach out to support@ravenequipt.com. We'll put you on the list and we'll ship as soon as they arrive from our molding partners.

I’d go with the aluminum oneUPDATE: Got an email…..
The upgrade to Nylon is free of charge. I’m not interested in Aluminum. Looks like there won’t be any further updates until May at the earliest…..
Yea it’s basically acting like a micro version of a climb pulley that arborists use for tending. It’ll be a poor man’s tender on steroids. And the only way they are going to get the type of break strength on ropes that small would be with a dyneema core.![]()

Based on the color and texture of the 7mm micro tethers they sent for Saddle Flaooza, I would guess it’s a polyester sheath, perhaps polyester/technora blend. It feels a lot like oplux just smaller diameterThanks buddy, that’s exactly what I was thinking. I wonder what material they are using for the sheathing .
