New Gear for 2023, Go!

It’s $300,

I honestly think they are marketing it completely wrong. They are saying its a turkey vest so naturally everyone is comparing it to other turkey vest. $300 for a "turkey vest" would make it one of the most expensive turkey vests on the market. They should have went more with the modular vest route. It looks like it will come pretty loaded with pouches for 300 and from there you could use it for turkeys, deer, and any other small game. It could easily carry your saddle hunting gear such as sticks and platform. I built something similar with the marsupial gear lumbar belt system and used it for saddle hunting and plan on tweaking it a little to make it my turkey vest too. I'll have 300 in my set up once I have it all together, but it replaces a backpack and turkey vest for me.

My guess is the turkey vest emphasis is due to release timing. After turkey season, they will shift gears into the modular emphasis.

$800 ladder stand is CRAZY!
At 47 pounds you are at least getting your moneys worth. :p And it looks like you can also use it as a hang-on separate from the ladder. Which actually triggers an idea, a saddle platform with the connections to add on platform wings if you will and a seat to make a full stand. Hey Andrae, git to work.

Timberninja 2023 stuff is up for preorder as well as old stuff with ungodly price increases.

I want to like Timber Ninja but he sure does make it hard. I don’t really suggest telling him you don’t like the sticks. That was a strange conversation.

I kinda wanna see what a hunting suit would look like if it was made to mimic something that has been betting its life on beating a deers eyes for millenia. Give me a textured suit with salt and pepper natural colors that artificially darkens the highlights and brightens the shadows on your body.
Haven’t seen it in person but seems like Osio camo works pretty well when you’re against a tree trunk.

I listened to his podcast with Nathan Killen, he seems like an arrogant guy for sure. Nathan is salt of the earth though, he’s a great guy.

Blackbelt saddles ($250, $225 w/ discount), are actually significantly cheaper than when launched last year (at $300). And the saddle bags are 20% cheaper than they were (not even counting the 10% discount). So that's not completely true.

Looks like they marked up the sticks to offset the 10% discount. (within $3).

It's the new stuff that's really pricey.

Those 20” carbon sticks were $120ea now they are $150ea. That’s a 25% price increase.

That was awhile ago. They were up to $132.

You can get them for $135 with the current discount.
