New Gear Release 2022!

We can dream right?

Again, just based on words from what he said, to me $400 doesn't fall into that category.

Tethrd is telling folks "30-40%" more than their current (XL) platform.

That would shock me, but here it is, at7:58:

I’m not a stand guy anyway and I’m sure the popping could be resolved. My point is more to fact that I would take a 6.5# aluminum stand over a 6.5# carbon fiber any day. If they are not going to beat the aluminum stand weight then why bother?
Nah bro the carbon fiber will keep your feet warmer! Tethurd guys said so on their video! Carbon is the future get with it

"available for purchase"...umm...

I don't know why they started with a full sized stand, but it's interesting to see a new competitor in machined stands. I'm guessing LWCG's "frame lock" isn't patented?

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. If they could close in on the weight from the other two it'd be a little more exciting. You definitely do have to wonder about patents on that one, lol. One thing that threw me, probably not important at all, but he's carrying the stand in by hand... huh???

Yeah, to hang it before season begins lol.

It is only 10.5lbs, so comparable weight to some rifle setups, but carrying a stand by hand ain't my cup of tea either.

Also, "we make everything in house...except the cables" To that I was like, right on...But the website says:
  • This stand is manufactured entirely in the USA. We use vendors right here in the state of Kansas
Kansas is a pretty big house, lol.

$459, sized comparably to LWCG 2.0 which runs $600, and the double post may add some rigidity for folks who complained about LWCG's being like a wet noodle. So, some upside.

I've no need for it.

With all of the duds this past year, I am not buying any high priced gear until it has made it through one hunting season and I can get some honest reviews on this site.

You have got to try this...It's a game changer...hurry before the pre-sale is full...I can't wait to put my hands on it...when it ships...in November...but really, it's the best hunting gear I've ever bought...It works awesome!

I am also interested in this one
Same. This might get me into the filming game once and for all. Just bringing this and the phone I bring anyway seems easy.

Also curious about the modified ridge runner. Didn't hear a weight. Wondering if the top step is removable as it seems unnecessary to me.

Disappointed to not see a saddle climbing platform from OOAL after the rumor mill said one would be presented at ATA. Hopefully it is still in the works.

In the video he said the top step is an optional piece so you can order it with or without.

Yep. And you can see it will fold better without.

To me, the option should be for a longer post with the step overhanging the top of the platform. That would fold flat and make the step usable for platform climbing.
