New guy from Arkansas

Welcome from Cabot/Jacksonville area. I'm also new to the saddle this year. I went with the modified sit drag as my saddle as I am making sure the departure from set stand locations can be accomplished at the tender age of 56. I have had issues with other hunter in my areas on public land tamper with my gear, so I will start run and gun hunting to keep them from knowing my location. Plus I am using pages from the John Eberheart manual on hunting in the junk more then ever. Shoot me a post from time to time to tell me how it goes.

Do you hunt Holland Bottoms?
 
Not yet, want to though. over closer to Jacksonville rather then Cabot way. I am a walk-in hunter, meaning I am not afraid to get away from the pack and be a lone wolf. I used to hick 1/2 to mile plus in Camp Robinson always, and my deer kills reflect that. You hunt Holland Bottoms?
 
No sir, I’m only 4 miles from Stone Prairie WMA just north of Camp Robinson. It’s walk in/bow only
