New guy. Why didn’t anyone tell me I’d be addicted immediately?!

Welcome from GA! Thanks for your service! I’m 50+ and just now got into the saddle…..this is my first season using one too!

Welcome! Hunting from a saddle definitely is addictive. I live in an area with hardly any deer and you can’t keep me out of a tree since I started. It’s a such a fast and easy way to set up when you find a good spot to hunt, and you carry minimal gear in the woods compared to other forms of treestand hunting. It’s definitely improved my odds. Good luck!

Hey all, brand new to the forum, the sport. I thought this was going to be an easy thing to get into to. I should have known better!!! I’m already heavily invested into EVERY website and every YouTube video I can find. I started a new job this week and I keep having to retreat to the “office” watch yet another video. Michigan, born and raised, spent fifteen years in the Army and got to hunt all over the place. Wish I had known about saddles back then!!! Anyways, I’m glad to be here.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is saddle hunting.

Here's a good "basics of saddle hunting" video just posted by the NDA. Its not bad, especially for just starting out.

Welcome! Tip: that sound you hear?…..yeah, that’s the sound of your wallet opening, being turned upside down, shaken violently, and emptied! (If you hear another sound, that’s your credit card melting!). LOL. All in good fun, welcome.

Welcome from WV. If we warned everyone, then we wouldn't have as many people to talk to and buy, sell, and trade with!
