New saddle hunter. North Texas

I could no longer afford a lease so I went to public hunting lands myself. I’ve got several areas to choose from with two hours from me. I started saddle hunting about two years ago I think. I took me awhile to get my rhythm down, with learning where to keep my sticks as move up the tree, where to to hang my equipment and so on. All I can say is practice as often as you can with all your equipment. I went two weeks ago after months of not going and lost my rhythm. So I need to get back into it hopefully I can get squared away before bow season starts. I mostly target hog year round good luck and learn what you can from where you can. Check the members map somewhere on this site there is a member map I’m thinking there are a few guys around you to meet up with if possible.

Welcome - I've been mobile hunting since the drop, never had access to private land. I'm new to TX hunting coming from MN. I was going to try SHNF this year somewhere in the pines. hmu
