New saddle hunter sticks question

Thanks for that comment...I do agree with you on that for sure...it will be something I add in the future / next season after I have some time under my belt with just using climbing sticks.

I had looked into that but like the comment above...that seems a lot more advanced for someone who hasn't done SH before...that being said, the examples I have seen on YT of guys doing it looks super slick!

I will check out some of the other stick recommendations...

Another question on the beast sticks...is the price difference between the 'holes vs no holes' worth it at 20 dollars more per stick for the holes?
Personal preference ( is a few oz. worth $20 per stick?? No wrong answer)

Well that was my first thought...with minimal difference in weight per stick it isn't worth 20 dollars per stick to me...so my next thought was loss of some unknown feature with the ported holes vs. no holes. I didn't find anything on my initial search other than a a video from Mark Dohrning on a mod for using a rod to hold them together.

I don’t care for the rod anyway, just keep the bottom ones wrapped individually & the strap from the top ones to secure them together…..

You can hold 4 of the beast sticks together with a 24” nite-ize gear tie. Mine have holes but I still prefer the gear tie over a threaded rod.

correct the rod is nothing but a pain, i went with a titan strap and its way better

I’m using 24” Beast sticks with a versa aider this year. Three sticks should get me to about 20 feet. Stealth stripping them right now, as a matter of fact.
