I've been hunting for 40+ years from a treestand. This season I'm going to give saddle hunting a serious try. My plan is to start by using my RC harness/sitdrag. Then possibly buying a scout for one of my beast sticks. I'm trying to get started with a minimal expenses. What are you thoughts or suggestions.

Good plan.

Sounds like a good plan. You have a lot of time before next season so practice. Welcome to the site!

Agree with above. Make you have 3 to 4 days and a good flashlight because that rabbit hole is very deep and hard to get out of. Trust me I’ve been down there.
I think I'm still fumbling around in the bottom of that hole! :tearsofjoy: Welcome to the site from a northern Michigan saddle hunting rabbit hole @tgreeno!

OK...Thanks I will!

Thanks for the greetings! I'm really liking the OOAL angled scout for the top of my beast stick! That will most likely be my platform for this season.
I used the angled scout on my mini beast stick all year. Add a couple of squirrel steps on an ocb. To me it is the perfect set up.
