New saddle on the market

I agree a simple modification to the straps connecting the bottom panel would be a better. Like stated above.

If you place buckles on Bottom panel and have straps attached to top where you pull up to close gap and press down on buckle tabs to open I would think the overlap would be easier. Anyway just a suggestion to improve a great saddle!

I agree 100% it is a fantastic saddle design, simple and easy to use. The only two issues my saddle novice eyes can see is:
#1-It's step through design and some will not like getting their bridge dirty when it makes contact with muddy boots
#2-The D rings and leg buckles WILL be making contact and making metal on metal noise that will spook deer.
I did see where an innovative individual solved this issue by covering the D rings in bicycle inner tube so that is a very easily fix for issue #2 I listed.
#3-I agree on inverting the strap buckles on the top panel to the bottom panel would be a big improvement.

I think it best if I hold off for now and see what TX5 has coming up as rumor is they have some big changes coming very soon. Corrections TX% has a WS up and running.
Absolutely anyone who weighs between 225 and 260 give this saddle a through long term sit/use evaluation?
Great saddle I hope he sells train car loads of them, or a bigger saddle company buys his saddle design from him and he can retire comfortably.

You don't have to step through it and get you saddle muddy you can always put it on over your head or add a caribiner to the prussic. Like you said the D-rings can be silenced easily enough but unattended they do clank. I do see the intuitivness of inverting the panel buckles (i.e. the panel moves in the direction you pull) but I am not sure if there are an downsides to orienting them that way.

Man I am still waiting for you to buy your first saddle. I saw you got your toes wet with a purchase of that arborist 2-panel saddle, but when are you going to dive in?

Since the OP has acquired a vendor badge in the time since this thread was initiated we will be locking this thread. It's pretty much run its course now anyway. Further information on the Overwatch Saddle can be found in the vendor thread at this link.
