I am looking to buy a platform but I have heard a few rumors about Tethrd coming out with a new platform called the Predator XL, any truth to this?

:grinning::grinning::grinning::grinning:There an easy fix for that, go to saddle hunter anonymous. Give your credit card, debit card and cash to someone who will tell you "NO". That is the only thing to save you.

I knew I should of waited till after the ATA SHOW to order anything else.

No platform at the ATA.... so probably not anytime soon.

They have been talking about this for quite some time so surprised something hasn't been developed yet. Honestly I'm very happy with the size of the current platform. Perfect size and packs great. If I wanted a bigger platform I would just go back to treestand hunting.

I was hoping to see sticks and an XL platform from them. I'm dropping ching soon on some sticks, if they don't pull something out of the trailer, I guess I won't be buying theirs.

I feel like a bunch of folks were offloading their Ambush in hopes of an XL Predator. We shall see. Until then I really like the Ambush.

I actually really do like my Ambush. Took a grinder to the teeth and took them to a point. Very happy with the size and more natural stance it affords me.

The LWCG Ambush teeth are definately aggressive. I have to lift up on the platform to cam, but I'm able to get it solid. @huntin_addict I'd love to see what yours looks like after grinding. I've also considered shimming the top tree bracket out so it lines up closer with the platform teeth.

That's exactly what I have to do, and some times it still cams so tight I Can't get it.

I try to hold it level to strap and sinch it as tight as I can with the platform flipped up. When I get it as tight as it'll go, then I cam it over. It still has almost to much bite.

The problem I have is how the V on the back of tree is so steep only 1 or 2 teeth touch the tree at once. After standing on it for a few hours, it's inevitable that it's going to start moving at some point in the hunt.

I fold my platform down, tighten the strap then fold up and then cam it in. Sometimes I have to lift up a little on the platform and re-cam. Once I started doing it the way their video shows, it's pretty darn solid. Also I've found that I don't need to get both feet behind the pivot point if I need to get around the tree, the top of the post is extremely helpful with one foot.
