Looking for a longer wire rope aider or an aider that fits different bolts? Now stocking 20" and 22" step spacing wire rope aiders with either a 1/4" or 5/16" eyelet. For a limited time (or longer) these will be $9.99. These are made for me by a tree stand cable manufacturer and provide a bigger step distance than other options on the market. You'll need a 1/4" longer bolt and if you're using my standoffs I can include one for free (socket cap 1/4"-20 x 2 1/4"). If you need a different style bolt just measure it and let me know, I might have some available.

Now you have quite a few choices for aiders! I stock pre-finished Amsteel aiders, DoubleSteps with sewn in 1" webbing aiders, CAYG aiders (1" sling 48" long), Knaiders/Swaiders, or any of the materials you need to DIY your own webbing, Amsteel, or rope aider. Hit me up with any questions!

Stay safe out there and I can't wait until we can start up our demo days again! I plan to make as many as possible within 6-8 or so hours from Michigan.

@DanO... My concern is if you can fold the cables up when transporting? This is one of my LW sticks modified with a doublestep.

Is there enough tension to pivot the cable eyelets for transport and to keep the step in place when climbing??

DanO I am getting beast sticks. I was part of the April pre order. What size bolts do the beast sticks use?

Beast sticks use 1/4" bolts.

On my sample stick I have that bolt tightened down pretty good right now so they actually don't pivot at all. You can bend the wire rope up and over, but you'd have to secure with a gear tie or bungee. I haven't tried adding a nylon washer between the nut and eyelet and also between the eyelet and the stick - but that might allow you to keep it pretty snug and still pivot the eyelets around the other direction. Nice stick BTW!

What did you use for the loop at the top of your stick. Looks good!

Thanks.. That's just paracord to hook them on my saddle molle hooks.. do you think I can add the cable to my doublestep bolt and be able to pivot the cable up for transport plus maintain enough tension to keep step stable during my climb?

I think if you get a longer bolt and a couple nylon washers it would work.

Here is a link to one with a beast stick. I think you could do something similar.

I thought about adding another bolt for the cable aider but I use a cayg aider now was just wondering if a washer would work and still keep step in place

Seems like a great idea until you start trying to pack them up. What is everyone's experience packing them? Pics?

I ordered some nylon washers which I can include with these. I think with the washer and the right torque you will be able to swivel these easily and rotate them so they are facing up and lined up with the stick for stacking.
