Good morning Saddle Hunters,

My names Jared, I'm from Northern Wisconsin around the Oneida Area. I've been hunting Public land for around 10 years here. I have been using a clunky climber or blind for my hunts due to the restraints on public, NO MORE! I hopped on the internet this week and researched saddles, stick and platforms. I ended up purchasing all three from Trophyline. MY gear is supposed to arrive this week and I am excited to get out and practice / learn it. I'm also looking forward to using this resource for tips and advice because I have so many questions???? Aiders, one sticking, SRT, 2TC, repelling down !! I never would have thought there would be so many ways to climb, hunt and descend a tree lol.

Welcome from Louisiana! Saddlehunter has an incredible amount of information covering all things saddle hunting. If you can’t find an answer in the archives don’t be afraid to ask any question. The group of members here are all helpful. Good luck and be safe!

Welcome aboard from Maine! No better members than on this forum. Ask away, but first use the search function. It will answer most of the questions you have.

Welcome! There was a WI meetup in Sussex this last August, I'm not sure if they'll plan on having one again this year. I only have one season under my belt on WI public, but ff I were starting all over again I'd go one stick from the get go. I started with 4 Novix sticks and a Trophyline Mission. Then went to a Shikar mini one stick and an EDP. I just picked up an Eastern Woods Outdoors Ultimate one stick and see it replacing everything, except maybe the EDP for all day sits.

Welcome from SE Wisconsin! I was in your exact same place this time last year. Learned a lot and spent quite a bit of coin, haha.

Had a really enjoyable season…I hope your upcoming season is great, too!

Welcome from SE Wisconsin. I put on the
meetup in Sussex mentioned above the past 2 years in late August and plan to do another this year. A bit of a haul for you but all are welcome. Good luck next season.
