Hi guys! New guy here to saddles and looking through and reading before I pull the trigger on ordering a setup. I have been looking into the mantis saddle from tethrd. I currently use a hang on and climbing sticks when I go out, but looking to switch it up to a saddle setup this year

Thanks guys! The saddle hunting is definitely a rabbit hole lol. I have been reading a lot of different reviews from people about different saddles. I have been using a climber and 2 years ago switched to a hang on setup. I definitely like the ability of being more mobile with the saddle and quieter to get setup than a climber. Kinda leaning towards the mantis.

Hello from Traverse area. I am new to the saddle game, also. Love the idea of it. Still trying to figure out which saddle to throw my money at.

I agree arctic wolf, I too am trying to figure out which one to get and several people have given some good advice to some saddles. Latitude was suggested to me and made in Michigan. Can be bought at jays sporting goods.

Yep, my degree also reads Ferris. :) Although I never actually set foot on their main campus. Probably saved myself a ton of money in the long run though by going that route. I used to live kitty corner across Boardman Lake from the university center.

Very cool. Jealous of being able to hunt in your back yard. That’s a pipe dream of mine lol. Lots of good info here! Both pre and post saddle purchase.

Welcome from MN! This is my first year giving this saddle thing a try. I bought a Tethrd Menace and have been happy so far. I haven’t hunted out of it yet but it sure is fun to climb up trees and hang from it. So far no complaints about comfort.
