I purchased the Cruizer Seeker platform and now shopping around for cases. I have my eyes on the Tethrd XL preditor pack with straps and going to attach an elite spanker to it For stick attachment. This will be early season carry.

thoughts or am I going down the wrong road?

I have 4 Skelator sticks. Maybe just use three with bottom stick 2 step aider and the other two each with One aider each.

if there is something better for early season without breaking the bank happy for a recommendation.

I purchased a xl predator pack with the xl platform and I’ve only used it a few times. I just found it a lot easier to strap the platform straight to my pack or put it inside my kuiu venture pack. I didn’t care for carrying the extra pack just for the platform either.

A lot o folks, me included, just hook their platform to their saddle. I used a clip attached via molle loop, and put a small paracord loop on the platform. No, I don’t have your system, but that’s what I do

If you want to get a case for the platform, the Predator pack that you're looking at is a good choice. It's very versatile & adaptable to almost any way you want to attach it to your pack.

If you want to $ave money, you can buy extra attachment straps from Amazon (ALOT cheaper than the Predator case,) in almost any configuration/buckle style/length that you want, feed them thru the platform & cinch to your pack. The choice is yours!

Speaking of attachment methods, gear ties are another awesome alternative. I used them when I hung 3 sticks and a platform. Gear ties are versatile and have a few useful purposes if one chooses that route. Like everything saddle hunting, it’s an endless rabbit hole and you’ve already leaned over too far………hope your tethered in!

I’d skip a dedicated platform pack unless you’re just going to walk in with a weapon, saddle, sticks, and platform.

I always carry a framed backpack with at least my kill kit, first aid/trauma kit, and since I’m in Minnesota I’m carrying an extra layer unless it’s the opening two weeks.

I’d just find the decent sized pack that will work for you and find a deal on it. I like my Eberlestock Renegade that I got for $125 summer. It easily holds a Fanatic Jacket inside and I can easily strap my saddle, sticks, rappel kit, and platform to it.

The key to keeping everything quiet that I’ve found is Voile straps. They have enough stretch they hold my platform tight to the sticks so there is no rattle. My beast sticks are now held together with their threaded rod but I used to bind them together with a strap.

I used the predator pack with a spanker pack attached for most of last season. I liked it. My issue was the shoulder straps. They suck.
I’ll probably use it again, but I’ve switched to the XOP pack to try. I like small packs and the spanker/predator pack worked pretty well for me.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I’m so freaking pumped to get into this sport. I haven’t posted much here and I have so much to learn. I’m hunting flatlands with some small ridges in PA. I went to the GOS in Harrisburg and got everything for 715 bucks. Cruizer seeker platform, skelator sticks. There on bobble aider for first stick and latitude method 2.

my walks to stand are short a few hundred yards. I hunt a park with 12 other hunters and we have our zones. I share my zone with two others. We have 12 stands prehung every season ladders and lock-ons. I jus5 need another option and saddle it is. This is going to be. A great ride. Something new to keep the sport alive.

You are basically running the same setup as me (Cruzr Seeker, Latitude Method 2) except I have modified helium sticks. I have experimented with several different ways of carrying my platform and what seems to work best during ascent is to run my chest strap from backpack through platform and waist strap around the platform to keep it tight to body. On the rappel down, I have a Cruzr Seeker saddle aid from Innovating the Outdoors which attaches to the back of my saddle.
*On the Seeker, I bought the Vital Ground Outdoor PSH and ditched the cam buckle. Using the PSH in combination with the toe lift/cam over method secures the platform rock solid. Good luck!
