Hi all. Im new to saddle hunting and new to this forum. I haven’t been hunting too long. This deer season was my second bow season so I am learning about pretty much everything. I am really excited about saddle hunting in general. My uncle got me into hunting and he let me borrow his summit climbing stand this season and it honestly felt like it could
double as a boat anchor especially on the hike out. I don’t own a tree stand of my own so I thought I could spend the money on a saddle and give myself a little project on a budget.

I and am pretty close to completing my DIY sit drag saddle. Last thing I need to do is figure out a good starting length on my bridge and start practing climbing on a few trees.

Anyway, I am very happy this resource exists and am very happy the members of this forum are so involved!

Thanks,

Jack (Radar99) G.

Hello from Kansas!

I think my sit drag bridge is 24”. Ive never used adjustable but to me seems that my tether height has made more of a distinction in comfort.

Welcome from Arkansas. I exclusively hunt from a DIY SitDrag and run a fixed 24” bridge
