I have not purchased a saddle as of yet but have watched reviewed YouTube videos on them. I am from Cullman,Alabama and hunted from climbers most often. I also mostly hunt public land. I use a crossbow due to torn rotator cuffs both shoulders. I am a type 2 diabetic so my concerns are about circulation and movement from leaning to sitting. I have messaged with Mr. Eberhart and as well as the guys at latitude outdoors on the method metal less saddle and was told to wait for the new lineup. I am wanting to 1 stick to be a bit more stealth in the woods. I hated the slapping of brush on my climber and the weight hauling it in and out.

Welcome from Central Illinois! I think the saddle allows me to have better circulation in my legs and feet than any other hunting method so you should be good. I go from leaning to sitting about every fifteen minutes or so and it's quiet and effortless.

Welcome take all the info in and try to grab bits and pieces to get yiur own style.
don't throw stand away. At least fir now

Welcome from northern Michigan! For me anyway the stealth of the entry in the wood is the biggest advantage of saddle hunting. The lighter setup is simply bonus.

Im glad you are here.you will find that you actualy use your legs in a saddle a bit compared to sitting on your but making your legs go numb.DONT be discuraged if you dont get it the first time there is a learning curve to saddle hunting.much like an aprentice ship.after three or four years you look back at all the things you tried and think .what an idiot.then you see people trying it on youtube.

on that note .there is only about 5 people who have the experiance and time tested knowlage to be posting videos.to many one season two season guys dazzling us with there wisdom just for views or popularity.i leave most vids in 30 seconds.becuase these things have been tried .or i would never try them.sorry not being a downer but good info is oversaturated by the my setup guys who are reasonably exited because its is so fun and new.but we dont need all the videos.it takes some sifting.be carefull and have fun.get used to it and you will love it

Well I have to tell you that I bought a latitude outdoors method metal less saddle kit yesterday and got in touch with ooal on my mini shikar with the monarch platform. I am getting them to delete the sail cleat and drill it for a cam cleat. I am wanting to use oplux to cinch the stick in the cleat and build a 2 step aider with it as well. I also ordered a mad rock safeguard. Plan on using the oplux for my repel line as well. I am a crossbow hunter so I may do some adaptive equipment for it when I get my gear in. I fabricate at work and also tinker with kydex products on the side so gonna see what I can bring to the table to help everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome,James

Welcome! Good thing you like to tinker because you are fixing to really get started.
My dad’s side of the family is from Warrior. I went there till they closed down. My uncle had Brad’s gun and tackle in the old Ogletree store on main street. I might have to bend your ear a time or two for information about saddle hunting if ya would not mind .
