No Shame Coffee Thread

Gotta have creamer in mine. I pick up bitter flavors too easily. I can't even drink most bottled waters unless they're ice cold.

I have 2 french presses. Usually for making coffee at camp or if the coffee pot craps(hamilton beech drip and pod maker)out or power goes out Got an espresso maker, so I can drink all my caffeine in one cup.

Preferred coffee supply is American Pride Roasters out of Des Moines, IA. Pretty much a one man show. Guy has a proprietary roasting method that turns out really well. All custom equipment. Does it out of his house. His house was destroyed in a tornado back in February and luckily for his business, all the equipment and his beans survived the tornado so he was back roasting this spring.

I have both of these. I like the former because i can clip the mug to my belt

I have a moccamaster drip machine, brevile espresso machine and also do pour over and aero press when traveling. Typically do an americano in the morning and on the weekends do lattes. Ive been roasting my own beans for the last couple of years as well and have found a new way to spend money that's not on hunting gear lol. Need to find a good cup that will work in the saddle because I would like to start drinking it on long days!

Raki? I’m surprised you remember anything period after drinking that stuff…
Navy…it was a way of life and a rite of passage to keep up with the boys! As long as they had their chief’s coffee ready in the morning! Like my coffe like my women…hot and wet. Not like my ex, cold and bitter

No deer is worth that.

If you can hang your tag first morning out, you can grab a cappuccino and breakfast sandwich at Starbucks on the way home. Not much of a sacrifice.

I was thinking some biscotti or maybe even a scone.

Good thread.

When I was a kid when my parents would drop me off at Gram’s for a night out, as soon as they would leave Gram would ask me if I wanted a cup of coffee. It was really a cup of warm milk and a couple spoons of sugar with a splash of coffee.....sounds like a Starbucks drink. Special memory for me. I drank coffee all my life with cream and sugar. A few years back I started drinking it black now I can’t stand it with anything in it. When you drink black coffee you know when you get a bad cup.

I like it hot and strong like my wife.

Yesterday for the first time, and the first time I was ever in a Starbucks Drive thru, I had some kind of chi tea latte drink that my wife always drinks that was freaking amazing. I guess I’m getting a little cultured in my old age.

Agreed @Heydeerman the cream n' sugar crowd usually doesn't know excellent coffee from horrible. I have family members who "love" coffee... but can't touch it without dumping in loads of that International Delight creamer crap that all tastes the same. I don't get it. I tell them, "No, you love sugary chemicals." To each their own I guess.

Cream and sugar in good coffee is sort of like mixing good booze, or putting BBQ sauce on perfectly rubbed and smoked pork - bordering on sacrilege. Either way a quality product stands on its own with no need of sugary adulterants. That said... sometimes you're just in the mood for a rum&coke or hazelnut bomb or drippy pulled pork sanny. And sometimes you saved a few bucks at the store, or left the pot on the burner all morning, and a wad of sucrose makes your error a bit more palatable.

Sugar in the rub is key.
