Nomad 50% off code

Can’t say I was impressed by the scrape set. I think it’s worth the value at 50% off. The stitching isn’t great and it over all doesn’t seem to be of high quality.

I’m torn between keeping it or not. I’m more of the mentality of buy once, cry once. I don’t want to take this out later in the fall and be let down.

Overall, they’re not bad pieces, but not the quality that I want to invest in.
The more I have inspected mine, the less I like it, and I’m at the point of sending it all back. When I sit down in the Scrape jacket, the belly portion balloons up and out to the point of discomfort and being in the way. Even more importantly, though, I found that it’s just not all that warm... I sat in it for a couple hours yesterday while working on the computer, and I didn’t even get a little bit hot despite my house being a comfortable 71 degrees. I appreciate versatility, but I just can’t believe I’d be comfortable in that jacket in the 20’s-40’s if I can wear it fully zipped up without overheating at 71 degrees. That’s the deal-breaker for me. Think I’ll be saving up for one of the top tier brands, hoping the price bump is justified by the substantial quality improvement. Oh well.

Thanks for the deal.... already had the cottonwood, which I got pretty cheap from Lancaster Archery. Just picked up the ear flap hat, hobo gloves, and 2 pairs of merino hiking socks for only $50.

I bought their turkey vest. $40 shipped to me seemed like a deal. Hope its an upgrade from my walmart model.

I have been away for a little while.
All I had tried was the Barrier pants. Which fit the need for me in WI from about 50 degrees down to about 20 degrees by varying layers underneath. I wanted a shell that was wind proof and waterproof for stand hunting. I think the fabric of the Barrier may be too loud in a jacket when drawing.
When I got home the cottonwood jacket I got will be going back, it is too heavy for what I was thinking. I also bought the cottonwood layering garment and that I will be keeping.

Just got my scrape bibs and jacket in the mail. It definitely doesn’t seem to be as warm as I expected, but I’ll be keeping both. I don’t think I would pay full price but at 50% off I am pretty happy with it. I’ve never had any high end camo so I can’t really compare the difference in quality, but it seems better than the Redhead stuff I’ve been running.

Funny you say that... I’d pretty well talked myself into sending the Scrape jacket back, then I put my RedHead heavyweight (emphasis on freakin’ heavy!) jacket on for a final comparison, and now I’m second-guessing because the Scrape jacket really is a substantial upgrade from that. Now I’m leaning toward keeping it, but thankfully I have some time to figure it out.

Just bought the elevated scrape jacket and bibs as well as a decent amount of their big game collection for layering/ early-mid season. The gear seems great for the price of half-off with the coupon... I did a decent amount of research and without spending an arm and a leg this was the best I could find. I was able to outfit myself for the entire season for nearly the price of the Fanatic jacket. We'll see if it pays off.

Also, I saw the main problem with the bibs is no fly for the all day sits. Ended up buying some open-end G hooks from Etsy (the only place I could find in 2") and will be DIY'ing to hopefully make it easy and silent to detach in the stand and fold the front of the bibs over. Nothing is worse than undoing velcro straps in the stand.

It is but they don't they don't have anything in stock...
I spoke to a dealer a while back, and he said August is when they typically come out with new stuff and refresh their stock, so keep checking back on the website. I have the Scrape jacket (L), and it’s easily the best $140 jacket I’ve found—I’m excited to use it this year.

That's great to hear. I would really like to try it out and potentially replace my Sitka stratus set.

Funny you say that... The only set I’ve found that I might “upgrade” to is the Stratus set, but the price difference has kept me from biting that bullet. I’ve only tried on the jacket though (old style); no experience with the Stratus pants.

Yea I have the older Stratus in EV1 and it works well but I am not a fan of Sitka's patterns and would like to consolidate some duplicate pieces I have between First Lite and Sitka. I think the Nomad camo pattern is very similar to FL as far as combining the micro/macro pattern.

Matching with First Lite pieces (that I haven't bought yet, nor can I afford) was one of the reasons I went with Nomad. Haha

I have a Dec hunt in VA this year. Thinking hard about the Cottonwood set.
I have the bibs and I’ve tried to order the jacket 3 times just for them to refund the money and say it’s out of stock while it continued to show or come back in stock online.
