North Georgia Public Land Deer Camp

Any other saddle hunters have interest in a weekend saddle hunting camp during deer archery season, at a North Georgia public land location. Cohutta, Johns Mountain, Chattahoochee National Forest, ?other

I would be interested. From Valdosta, GA

Great gesture and idea. Way to take the forum into the woods. ( im out - live in New England.)

Redland WMA 37,500 Acres
Looks like they have 2 sections; one that is Archery only and the that is combo

last year 316 deer harvest

interactive map; looks like different areas to camp.

Hey, I'm in Gainesville. I'm down for a hunt. I actually started hitting Redlands some last year.

I’m in Jax Fl, we go up to elijay and cherry log like every summer, it’s a drive but it’s beautiful. Let me know the place and weekend y’all pick and I’ll try to make it.

So if I'm reading the regs correctly.

It's $130 for a one-day non-res license, and $8 each additional day.
And with that license, 2 bucks and 10 does, and there is no daily limit of 1 deer?

If before firearms season, I'd consider it.

If any of yall are veterans or interested in putting in for the Fort Gordon Draw I have a ton of spots on post. There are some bruisers walking around out here.

I didn't realize Fort Gordon had hunting on it. I'm a vet and a DoD civilian. I need to look into this. Thanks for bringing it up on here!
