Novix Mini Stick Problems

I'm using 7/64 Amsteel and doing a timber hitch and have had no problems. If the tree is to big to easily use the timber hitch I just do a single line and wrap my button several times and tie a few half hitches and I haven't had any problem. Hope you get it figures out.

I have the ewo daisy chains on my helium’s and when it isn’t tight enough I just tie it like I would if they were rope mods. Especially on hard barked trees. Buckles are definitely the easiest to get solid.

this. You can try the buckless method with the daisy chains you already have. seems like a waste of a daisy chain, on the other hand they will be longer than stock straps without the buckle (if that matters). But you can try it for free!

Well fellas I'm just gonna go back to regular straps and not mess with these daisies anymore. Most likely have a trade for cam buckle straps in process right now. Will be ordering that camo slayer tape from LWCG to keep everything quiet and stealthy.

Keep in mind you can use the flat straps that come with any stick and tie it off kinda like with a rope mod. Super lightweight, tight to the tree, and frugal.

Cut it in half and slide it over the buckle. It's grippy and holds well. I never had much luck with the inner tube mod and this works much better. I believe @Dewey turned me on to this.
I have since gone to Stealth Buckle Silencers.

They are much better than Yakgrips and are not so thick so easier to operate the release button.
Uncle Lou sells them in his store at Stealth Outdoors. You can install them in a few short minutes. So much easier than cutting and fitting individual pieces and sticking on. The kit is all precut and ready to install.

Did the versa strap system from tetherd to close out rifle season for two hunts last year. Really liked them, felt safe even used for predator platform. This year, I opened September at my buddies place, and was hanging in a smooth maple, I used method from video, and had one stick slide till we hit stick 2. These where Original Lonewolfs modified with double steps from Easter outdoors. Regrouped and rehung stick got it tight. Used Versa strap on platform felt tight looked bit and out of no where sliding down tree. Ditched after that hunt used twice went back to cam buckle, and now I am using 20” hawks to close the year in December with rope mod. Have to say really love rope mod. Made mine about 9.5ft long, I like that it’s not a struggle on big trees at all, and I like that I can double wrap.

I ended up selling the Novix and going back to my ever faithful Muddy Pros - hard to beat a cam locked rope system. Couldn't stand cam buckle straps either - too many seasons spoiled by my Muddy and that's what I will be sticking with for now, but I would like to try the new Skeletors at some point.

The Muddy Sticks are nice once the heavy, unstable steps are replaced.
