I had one. Sold it for $325. They can still be found for a deal, if you know what you are looking for…..but that doesn’t happen very often.

The 8.5lb assault had a longer and wider platform than the Helo, but only had one versa button, limited practical leveling ability, and a narrow V.

Last year I made a small fortune on selling stands last year. Bought some LWCG with code I found and sold 8 of them for $650 and sold 5 carbon pros for $750 had yarak and assassin I sold to one you guys reported me for gouging. I was way in the green.

My comments were about the previous comments around the 8.5# assault and cost/availability.

I’m gonna think on it… I have a couple spots on public that I mite leave a stand a few days at a time and I’m not doing that with my other stuff, I bet they sell a pile of these, made in the USA by a company with good customer service if needed, specs looks good, for $204 shipped that’s a sweet deal. I mite hunt the classifieds a couple weeks and see if anybody gets buyers remorse before I order one, my price shipped is $221.85.

UPDATE: 4 hours later I justified a way to order one... I sold something on here for 210, and I could get one of these to my door for 216.... It seemed too good to be true.

Likely to be coming your way in the classifieds in 2 weeks....

Forgive my oversight. Multitasking sucks.

I was referring to the fact that the 8.5# Assaults are still better spec wise than this new Novix stand.

BUT the availability and cost of the Novix stand is still a great budget oriented stand for guys starting out or to have a backup stand?

I think we’re all aware that the 8.5# Assaults are no longer in production and haven’t been for many years.
 
I really wish the platform on the “Helo” was 28”+ and it would be a winner.. A big benefit to longer stands is the ability to move forwards slightly so your elbow can clear the tree when drawing. When you draw is 30”+, bumping your elbow when drawing not fun. At 26.5” that’s pretty similar to the assault. And keep in mind; the 9 lb number…Is bare. It’s 10.2 loaded; the assault is 11lbs loaded. You’re losing .8 lbs. The only win here is the price point.

Agree. I actually like the length of their other stand better.
